FLUORSPAR
-
Fluorspar is the most important and most common fluorine mineral. It consists of calcium fluoride with a (theoretical) composition of 51.3% calcium and 48.7% fluorine
-
Currently available are metallurgical spar grades in the grading curves 1/8mm, 8/16mm and 16/24mm with a CaF2 content of 85-90% and cement spar with a CaF2 concentration level of 30-50%
-
Metallite accounts for about 37-40% of the total fluorspar production. Its main application is in steel and stainless steel production. There it is used as a flux to lower the melting temperature, increase chemical reactivity and remove impurities in the slag.

Other grades are in preparation
